St. Patrick's Day with Cole Porter!

Why not try something new on St. Patrick’s Day, by spending it with Cole Porter?

New York City's popular Upper West Side institution

SING! SING! SING! presents “Anything Goes - Cole Porter. Part Two", a by-popular-demand follow-up to last fall’s

initial rousing evening with the master songwriter, on

Thursday, March 17 at 6:45 p.m. at The Triad, 158 West 72 Street in New York City.

Co-hosts are singer/pianist Anne Phillips, who plays the songs in keys that both men and women can sing, and Michael Shepley, who provides informal, amusing and interesting background to the songs themselves. Lyrics are provided and the sing-in begins!

Songs to be sung together will include Anything Goes, So In Love, Always True To You in My Fashion, All of You, My Heart Belongs to Daddy, Let’s Misbehave and many others, with all Porter refrains. And lest anyone think that Porter has nothing to do with St. Patrick’s Day, there is in fact a second refrain in My Heart Belongs to Daddy that addresses the subject nicely.

SING! SING! SING! is a great way to be with friends and to leave one’s cares behind. Previous attendees have written, “I always leave feeling 100 percent better than when I walked in,” “I feel so fortunate to be able to partake in your musical communion and to share this gentle rally of spirits,” and “As usual, you managed to entertain and enlighten us with your superb choice of songs.”

$10 cover; 2-drink minimum (cash only, please). General seating; doors open at 6:30 p.m. The Triad is located at 158 West 72 Street between Broadway and Columbus Avenue, up one flight of stairs, above the Turkish Grill restaurant.
